White Turkey Chili<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n1 package lean ground turkey (it\u2019s a little over a pound)
\n1 onion, chopped
\n2 stalks celery, chopped
\n1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
\n1 package of dried white navy beans or other white bean
\n1 10 oz can of Rotel tomatoes, drained
\n2 cups frozen corn
\n1 teaspoon ground cumin
\n1 teaspoon chili powder
\n1 teaspoon salt
\n1\/2 t. pepper<\/p>\n
32 oz carton of chicken broth
\n1 12 oz bottle of beer<\/p>\n
1\/2 cup heavy cream<\/p>\n
Shredded cheese, sour cream, and\/or chopped scallions for toppings<\/p>\n
1.) Put the ground turkey on the bottom of a heating slowly and break up slightly. Add next 11 ingredients and gently combine.<\/p>\n
2.) Cook covered (duh) for either 8 hours on low or 6 hours on high. If it gets dry at any point, don\u2019t be afraid to add more broth, beer or water.<\/p>\n
3.) With 30 minutes left to go in the cooking time, add the heavy cream and continue cooking.<\/p>\n
4.) Serve with your favorite chili toppings, but be aware of hitchhiking ghosts.<\/p>\n
